Alizabeth James

Producer, Director, Writer, Host.

Alizabeth James created EccentricTV in May 2000. In November 1999 Alizabeth was persuaded by a close friend to meet Leonard Kaplan an eccentric artist who resided in Laguna Beach, California. After the initial meeting, Alizabeth felt she should interview Lenny, as he was a great conversationalist, a phenomenal painter and a former pre-Columbian art dealer. One year later, Lenny agreed to an interview. After the interview concluded Alizabeth began developing the EccentricTV non-celebrity concept before Reality TV became a reality.

Alizabeth began directing/writing/acting various forms of media such as commercials, music videos and infomercials for cable television.

Alizabeth founded Platinum Entertainment, Platinum Films Ltd., 10 years ago, creating projects such as "Seawind Sisters," "The Cross of Change," "Anythang Goes" and "The Oasis R.I.P. Dunes," CO-written by Pam Gooderham. Alizabeth spent nine months developing a new weekly series entitled: "Celebrity Charity" with creator Pam Gooderham. Hosted by a celebrity, featuring celebrities each week, giving exposure to their favorite charities at their charity events.

Prior to her draw towards television, Alizabeth was a singer/songwriter. At the age of sixteen, and new to Hollywood, Alizabeth hired musical consultants Rona Newton-John, Robin Chambers, to direct her new career. They in turn directed her to record producer Randy Bishop (Staying Alive Soundtrack) and Coral Browning of Pasha Recording Studios and there she began to record the first of many projects. The musical genres ranging from pop, metal, to middle of the road and rock. Alizabeth continued to write, record and perform locally in the club scene in Southern California until she began to pursue film and television.

Currently, in development/pre-production, "Asylum of Smoke," “Hildegarde," “Rife,” as well as a dramatic new series entitled "Broken Home."

As for civic and charitable activities, Alizabeth is trying to procure national and congressional interest for the “National Day of Homeless Awareness" to feed the homeless in America. After extensive research Alizabeth discovered that the National Coalition for the Homeless already co-sponsor National Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week which is set for Nov. 14-20, 2004. Michael Stoops, Director of Community Organizing, of the National Coalition for the Homeless has asked Alizabeth to join forces with NCH and continue to petition the President to issue a proclamation about this week.
